BackwardShiftMatrix

Returns a backward shift matrix.

Syntax

• BackwardShiftMatrix(n)

  • n is a positive integer

Description

If n is a positive integer, then BackwardShiftMatrix(n) returns the n-dimensional backward shift matrix, that is the matrix of size n×n with 1s on the superdiagonal and 0s everywhere else.
