sort

Sorts a container using a standard comparer.

Syntax

• sort(X[, cpr])

  • X is a container

  • cpr is a string

Description

If X is any container, then sort(X) returns X sorted using the default comparer. sort(X, cpr) uses the standard comparer named cpr:

• standard order

• standard order descending

• absolute value

• absolute value descending

• real and imaginary parts

• real and imaginary parts descending

• modulus

• modulus descending

• argument

• argument descending

• modulus argument

• modulus argument descending

To use a custom comparer, use the CustomSort or the SortBy function instead.
